The spirit of the Egyptian revolution connects with our own founding fathers as expressed by those protestors in Tahrir Square. It needs teh chance to flower which can only happen once Mubarak leaves the scene. It is up to the Egyptian army to make that happen. Peacefully and doing it so Mubarak can leave with "dignity".

In 1991, when the Soviet Union disappeared and the United States found itself the last superpower standing, Washington mistook that for a victory most rare. In the years that followed, in a paroxysm of self-satisfaction and amid clouds of self-congratulation, its leaders would attempt nothing less than to establish a global Pax Americana.

Far from changing our editorial approach, our culture, or our mission, this moment will be for HuffPost like stepping off a fast-moving train and onto a supersonic jet. We're still traveling toward the same destination, with the same people at the wheel, and with the same goals, but we're now going to get there much, much faster.

Tom Paine would be turning (and retching) in his grave at America's role in Egypt, which is to try and stave off democracy, not promote it. Indeed, Paine would surely be standing in Liberation Square with the young Egyptians fighting for freedom from tyranny.

All centralized power, once restraints and regulations are abolished, once it is no longer accountable to citizens, knows no limit to internal and external plunder. The corporate state, which has emasculated our government, is creating a new form of feudalism, a world of masters and serfs.

The White House's foreign policy towards Egypt is a complete embarrassment. Especially to me, as I once deluded myself into thinking that the Obama Administration was doing the right thing. Despite the missteps, its not too late for the United States Government to change tack. Will it?

I once was a liberal Zionist, but now I see myself as a religious American Jew in solidarity with justice for the Palestinian people. Israel's security and our liberation as Jews are both tied to justice for the Palestinians.

I've been in the music business a long time - as a player, teacher and writer. It's always galled me when folks (including some musicians) have talked about "perfect pitch" in awed tones, as if it were some magical talent. "Perfect" isn't even the right descriptive word, which should be "absolute.") I'm writing this, because people are wasting money on bogus methods of acquiring "perfect pitch." SAVE YOUR $. IT'S TOTAL B.S.!
